Irrigation
An artifical application of water to the land for agriculture and cultivation is called irrigation or the process of the supply of water to land or crops to help growth is irrigation.
Advantages of Irrigation

Disadvantages of irrigation
- Water logging.
- Salinity and alkalinity of land.
- Ground water pollution.
- Excess irrigation can cause landslide.
- Outbreak of harmful diseases like malaria can occur.
- Excess use of groundwater for irrigation can occurs the vicinity of the space which can bring disasters.
- Environmental and natural condition of river can be disturbed.
