FIFA World Cup is quadrennial tournament of men’s national football teams that determines the world champion of football. It is likely the most popular sporting event in the world.

The very first World Cup was organized by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in 1930.Since that time in every four year it is being organized by FIFA , except during world war II. The total number of nation to participate in world cup is 32.The nations selected from world cup qualifier rounds before the world cup can get chance to participate in world cup.

The World Cup trophy from 1930 to 1970 was the Jules Rimet Trophy, named for the Frenchman who proposed the tournament. This cup was permanently awarded to Brazil in 1970 because Brazil was the three-time winner of World Cup (1958, 1962, and 1970), and a new trophy called the FIFA World Cup was put up for competition.
